This institute was started temporarily at Rajiv Gandhi Sewa Kendra located inside the premises of Block Office, Gumma in the year 2012 with one six month trade i.e Driver Cum Mechanic. It was shifted to its own building at K C Pur, near Govt. Girls High School (SSD), K C Pur, Gumma during the month of June, 2015. This institute is under the administrative control of Directorate of Technical Education and Training, Odisha, Cuttack and coming under the Department (Skill Development Technical Education and Training, Odisha, Bhubaneswar). The syllabus and certification is under the control of DGET/NCVT, Govt. of India, New Delhi. This institute provides Craftsman Training Scheme (CTS) in the trade of Fitter, Electrician and Mechanic Motor Vehicle. All the trades of this institute are affiliated to NCVT, New Delhi. The admission is conducted centrally in SAMS Portal strictly on merit basis following all the reservation norms laid by Govt. of Odisha.
